Freshdesk AI for Shopify: Keep Freshdesk, Let Flyweight Draft the Replies

Keep Freshdesk for ticketing and add Flyweight as the AI layer that drafts store-grounded replies your agents review and send.

Freshdesk is fine. Its AI doesn't know your store ๐Ÿค”

Freshdesk is good at the helpdesk part. It keeps your queue organized, routes tickets, and helps your team stay in sync. No need to replace it.

The problem is the AI layer. Freshdesk charges extra for AI features, often by resolution, seat, or feature. And even with that added cost, it still does not understand your Shopify catalog out of the box. It works from a separate knowledge base that your team has to build and maintain manually. So you're paying extra for AI, while also doing the work to keep it accurate across two systems.

That's the gap. Freshdesk handles ticketing well. The AI is expensive and disconnected from your store.

The fix: keep Freshdesk, swap the AI layer ๐Ÿ”ง

You do not need to move off Freshdesk. You just need better AI inside it.

Flyweight Ticket AI runs on the Flyweight Copilot, a browser extension that opens a side panel next to your Freshdesk inbox. Your team stays in Freshdesk. What changes is the brain behind the drafts: the same on-brand AI that powers your storefront chat, grounded in a Knowledge Graph of your full Shopify store.

No second knowledge base to maintain. No per-resolution meter on your support AI. Freshdesk manages the queue, Flyweight writes the replies.

How it works โšก

  1. Your agent opens a ticket in Freshdesk, same as usual.
  2. The Copilot reads the conversation and pulls the customer's Shopify orders and details into the side panel.
  3. It drafts an on-brand reply grounded in your store: products, variants, policies, FAQs, and the live order context.
  4. Your agent reviews, edits, and inserts it into the Freshdesk reply box.

The important part: nothing gets sent until a human sends it. There is no auto-send. Your agent stays in control, and can ask the Copilot to refine a draft or show its work: which orders it used, which store guidance it checked, and how it put the reply together.

What it actually knows ๐Ÿง

The drafts work because they are grounded. Instead of relying on a hand-built FAQ, the Copilot uses a Knowledge Graph of your full Shopify catalog: products, variants, collections, policies, and pages, plus the live order context for the customer tied to the ticket.

That graph refreshes every 24 hours, so new products and policy updates show up in drafts without anyone re-uploading documents. Every answer is grounded in your real store content, with the source visible to your agent. That helps reduce hallucinations and keeps replies reliable, even when the details are messy. If there is not enough store content to answer well, the Copilot says so instead of making something up.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to leave Freshdesk?
No. Flyweight runs inside Freshdesk as a side panel. You keep Freshdesk for ticketing, routing and reporting, and Flyweight adds the AI layer that drafts store-grounded replies. See the Ticket AI overview for the full picture.
Does it send replies automatically?
No. It prepares a ready-to-send draft that your agent reviews, edits and sends. Nothing goes out until a human sends it.
How is this cheaper than Freshdesk's own AI?
With Flyweight, the AI is the product and it's included from the start, not a premium add-on billed per resolution on top of your seats. You also skip the second knowledge base, because the drafts are grounded in your whole Shopify store automatically.
How do I get access?
